Content DescriptionA collection of dried plants apparently made by Francis Willughby, John Ray and fellow natural historians, and by unidentified late 17th- or early 18th-century collectors. The specimens are interleaved on coarse paper within the disbound pages of John Ray's Historia Plantarum, vols I and II (London, 1686, 1688), almost certainly by Thomas and Cassandra Willughby, and possibly before the publication of volume 3 in 1704.
